UNICEF Rights Respecting - Spring Term Update

Following on from the 'WE Schools Day' we attended last November, we were lucky enough to be visited by Oscar from WE Schools. The theme for the day was ‘Do Good, Feel Good’ and the Rights Respecting Ambassadors from Years 4 - 6 were involved in the workshops.

We had a truly inspiring and exciting day. The children were very enthused and had some very original and exciting ideas around the area of social issues within the school community and beyond. Oscar helped the children develop action plans from their ideas and we are looking forward to developing these ideas and putting them in to action; so watch this space!

We had some brilliant feedback from Oscar about his visit to our school - here's what he had to say:

"I just wanted to send you an email to say thanks so much for inviting me to your wonderful school. It was an absolute pleasure meeting you and visiting your school, working with the students on social issues and helping them to begin creating their action plans. I was blown away by the level of engagement and enthusiasm the students had and by how much social action the school already takes on every year! The students brilliant rap has had me chuckling all morning!” - Oscar WE Schools
