Ukulele club proves to be a hit
Pupils in years 4, 5 and 6 have been showing off their musical talents.
Around 40 pupils attend a weekly Ukulele club hosted by music teacher Mr Barker.
The club was set up three years ago with just five pupils, but since then it has grown and become incredibly successful.
Each week children learn different songs which they then practice at home. We have uploaded some song sheets so youngsters can learn in their spare time. These have been uploaded in the Photo Gallery section.
Mr Barker also has his own YouTube channel, where he regularly uploads new songs and tutorials.

Mr Barker said: “I am really impressed with how the children have developed their independent learning.
“These videos are designed for children so they can develop their skills to the next level.”
Pupils who attend the Ukulele Club will be performing at the Battles of the Bands competition on 14th March 2019 in the Sneinton Boulevard hall.
The competition will start at 3.30pm until 4.30pm. A panel of judges will score each band.
