Belvoir Big Band Concert
The Belvoir Big Band visited the school for their third annual 'Interactive Jazz Night with the Band'.
The band played for just over an hour in our Performing Arts Centre, and gave an exciting performance for the children and families to listen to and join in with.
The big emphasis of the event is always on audience and child participation. We had children playing ukuleles, violins, trombones, and trumpets as they joined in with different pieces the band was playing, as well as a lot of dancing and some combined singing from the school choir and the band lead vocalist Chris Nice.
The band sees this as a great community event that they love to support, and the school is always grateful for all the hard work they put into making it such a great evening for everyone.
Miss Maciel Assistant Head said: "Another excellent evening from the Belvoir Big Band and Band Master Mr Barker. Much appreciation to the members of the band who, as usual, were brilliant and gave up their time to give our families a wonderful cultural experience. They make their music so accessible and interactive and it was clear the audience and performers were enthralled and having fun."
