Alina Selected for East Mids Basketball Team

Year 6 pupil Alina has been selected for the East Midlands U13 Basketball Team - making her the youngest of 20 girls.

Alina in Y6 has been identified as one of the most promising basketball players at the Nottingham Academy. In addition to her evident potential, Alina exhibits plenty of dedication, determination and resilience – British Values that we actively encourage at school. She has practise sessions every day from Monday to Saturday and usually has matches on Sunday.

Alina has been playing for the East Midlands U11 team for some time. Recently, she was selected for the East Midlands U13 – making her the youngest of 20 girls.

We will continue to follow Alina’s progress carefully and look forward to hearing news of her future achievements.
