Year 5 Bench for the Hoodwinked Trail

10 talented artists from Nottingham Academy have worked with local artists to design a bench for our local library.

Along with fifty-two schools across Nottingham City, Year 5 have been involved in a project to decorate a bench (which has been designed in the shape of an open book.)

When completed, this will be taken to one of our local neighbourhood community spaces for everyone to enjoy as part of Nottingham City’s Hoodwinked trail. The trail, which begins in July, will see huge sculptures of robins that have been decorated placed in key places across Nottingham.

Many pupils in Year 5 submitted their design entries but 10 were selected to work with an artist to develop their ideas into one bench. Ayesha, Cameron, Keris, Amelia,  Asiyah,  Olivia,  Lois , Rania Akash and Anika worked with artist Hope Chilvers to turn their designs into reality. The completed bench will be displayed in Sneinton Library so all Nottingham Academy pupils can enjoy it.
