At Nottingham Academy, we aim to develop children's skills that they will need when securing jobs in the future. Using the Careers development Institute Framework, our school uses the key elements to develop a careers curriculum which will help inspire children to achieve their own ambitions.

This is done through providing opportunities for children to experience and develop the following skills:

Furthermore, at Nottingham Academy Primary, we will also help children recognise the different job sectors through participating in National Careers Week, which is accessible for all years. In Key Stage 1, there will be a key focus on challenging gender stereotypes in job sectors, this will be done through the introduction of 'Discover Boxes' allowing for story telling, role play and skill builders all within the classroom.
