The links to our year groups long term plans can be accessed below. The long-term plans outline what will be taught and when. Some topics are stand alone, whilst other topics make cross-curricular links in order for our children to apply the knowledge they have acquired to another context and to connect their learning to real-life experiences. As adults, we find ourselves applying the skills and knowledge we have learnt throughout our educational experiences to navigate and survive in the real world. In order to prepare our children for life beyond school, it is important that they are well practised at transferring and applying knowledge and skills in various contexts. 

SMSC and Fundamental British Values are a crucial part of our curriculum and play a key role in preparing our children to be well-rounded, caring and respectful citizens that can contribute positively to society.  Therefore, opportunities for the coverage of SMSC and FBV have been clearly mapped out across the curriculum in our year group long-term plans.
